The Promised Land
It is official! I’m allowed to blog about our plans because they are officially set in stone! As of June, we are moving to our new home in Charlotte where Nate will be joining the Mosaic Church staff as the Worship Pastor! God is so good…He knew the desires of our hearts, He heard our cries, and He has faithfully answered our prayers. We rejoice as we enter this new season that is brimming with promise and newness!
On Monday we went to Charlotte as a family to find our new home. We’ve been talking about our new home for a year now. The first time we told Nathaniel we were getting a new home, he specifically asked if we could get a blue one. I told him we’d have to wait and see. Well, after two days and many hours in the car with our WONDERFUL realtor, we left Charlotte yesterday having secured a new home to move to in a few weeks…and wouldn’t you know that the house the Lord gave us is a BLUE HOUSE?! That brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it. God even answered the sweet request of a 3-year old. Oh how He loves us!
As we were crossing Lake Norman yesterday on our way to go take pictures of our new home, a verse popped in my head: “As you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.” (Isaiah 43:2) I realized that we’d “made it”. We were crossing over to the other side and into our Promised Land….the Promised Land the Lord imprinted on our hearts over a year ago. And even though this past year has been filled with uncertainties, disappointments, discouragement, and challenges, I can honestly say that I wouldn’t undo a single moment because it has been a fertile valley. Nate and I have learned so much. I can say that I love my husband more and I love the Lord more because of what we’ve been through this year.
So…Blue House in the Promised Land, here we come!

That’s awesome! It’s beautiful! I can’t wait to hear all about it!
